The search toolbar is just a visually different tool than the original search widget. It should work the same way, but save us screen real estate and reduced code.
The Full Search Bar:
Search:
Depending on what you're searching for, you should be able to type in the value and get the results you expect.
The word "Search" in the search bar is now clickable and will do the search for you, just like pressing enter (which still works).
The little handle on the far left allows you to move the bar to fit your needs, if this is an issue we can remove this feature.
The Controls
The following actions are the ones we setup globally, but not every window has them available, if you don't see them in the file menu, then they are not enabled for that window. Hovering your mouse over the icon will show you the display name to help.
The icons below can be enabled and disabled automatically at various times when using a screen, these rules differ from screen to screen, refer to that screens documentation to find out when/where/why they are disabled, if there is no documentation on this, refer to this rule:
If this action should be performed now, enable it, if it shouldn't then disable it.
If you find something violates this rule, please file a bug/new case for that specific screen.
Add New: Add New allows you to add a new record, must save for it to persist. This button should never be disabled if shown, it looks like it is, but it's OK to click. Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+N
Save: Saves the current dialog data. Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+S
Delete: Deletes the current dialog data. Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: None assigned at this moment.
Previous: Go to the previous record, only enabled when there are search results to view, the allow you to cycle through the search results rows. . Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: Alt+Right (MAC OSX only: Ctrl+])
Next: Go to the next record,only enabled when there are search results to view, the allow you to cycle through the search results rows. Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: Alt+Left (MAC OSX only: Ctrl+[)
Advanced Search: Advanced Search will work as we have programmed for the individual window, usually this is a popup dialog with the ability to search specific fields and set up how to search those fields. Key Sequence/Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+F
Please note: Icons in these images may be different on your system. The Icons are set as part of the system theme, so changing your theme can change the icons. The order they are listed and shown in the full toolbar image should be relied upon if your icons are different. This may not always be true in the future, for now with these images it is.
