Alfresco (Content Store)

Alfresco is a Content Management System that every employee has access to by default.  Every user have a 'Home Folder', that is personal to themselves.  They also may or may not have access to other folders within the 'Company Home' folder.

Currently only Compass has data within the 'Company Home' folder, but the Student Info Systems team is evaluating it for their content management needs.

Currently Alfresco is only available over the web at

https://lewis.yumaed.org/alfresco/

You login with your SSO username and password, just like you do for gmail (without the @yumaed.org part).  i.e. for the user Jenny Jones has a username of jjones and an email of jjones@yumaed.org they would login as:

User Name: jjones

Password: MySuperSecretPassword

On the login screen you can also select your language, English is the default, but if you would prefer, we currently offer: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Japanese.

After logging in, you will be directed to your Dashboard (which is customizable).

On the left hand side is the 'Navigator', and you have 3 links 'My alfresco', 'Company Home' and 'My Home'.  My Alfresco will always bring you back to the dashboard screen.  Company Home will let you browse any company wide resources that you have access to (for instance the Compass folder), and 'My Home' will take you to your personal folder.

Inside your personal folder, we create and keep up-to-date for you a special folder structure called 'paystubs'.  inside this folder will be folders by year, and every paystub generated for that year inside their respective folders.  This gives you quick and easy access to all of your personal paystub information.
